News
I'm currently working on version 2.0 of the Altered States site. Hopefully the basics will be up by tommorow night but if not then deffinately the end of the week.
Also been working on 2 myspace layouts for San Marcos and Anna Salen(not currently up). I highly reccomend checking out both bands.
More news soon...
Again it has been a long while since the last update and again it is due to my laziness, but anyway i will ge into it now.
First thing that comes to mind is Mammal have released their second new A-side "Nagasaki In Flames" which is an absolutely awesome track and can be heard at this link. Cog also have released another fully recorded newie "Sharing Space". This song is just brilliant. Gone are he heavy riffs and political lyrics and in their place are beautiful melodies and heart felt words, definitely one of my favs and can be found here. Another Cog bootleg track has surfaced here, titled "Are You Interested?", not a bad little track either.
As usual our good friend Adam has been pumping out the live bootlegs of all your favorite bands. Some of them include Cog, Mammal, .hinge and Parkway Drive. So show him your love and appreciation and check them all out here.
The full Big Day out line-up has been announce and boy am i glad i got a ticker :) I wasn't to sure after the first announcement and was only really going to see RATM but since then they have brought out the goods. Full line-up can be found at this link.
Karnivool whilst on tour over in the US of A have been leaving us a few doco videos of their travels so we don't miss them too much.
And finally Robkaay has released the first book of the Robkaay Journals which documented his time in the band Full Scale. You can get the first 3 chapters for free by signing up to the mailing list or you can purchase the full PDF file or paperback book here.
It has been a while since the last update. A lot has hapened since then and well... ive just een to lazy to write anything about it :) but here we go anyway.
For anyone that been living under a rock Rage Against The Machine have been announced for this years Big Day Out line up (click here for full line up) and their sideshows sold out within minutes of going on sale. Consequently about 250 of the 5000 were then on sale on Ebay within another 10 minutes much to the disgust of fans that missed out. Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne BDO have also sold out already but there are still limited tickets left that are being handed out through the ballot.
Cog has announced their upcoming single "What If" will be released on the 27th October also accompanied by an east coast tour (click here for dates). The suspected release date for the new album "Sharing Space" is Feb 2nd and the tracklist although not confirmed goes as followed.
1. Over p1
2. Altered States
3. Double Triple
4. What If
5. Guess who?
6. Look Who's Laughing
7. Town Of Lincoln
8. Swamp Weed
9. Sharing Space
10. Art Man Sam
11. And Out p2
The track "What If" is now up on their myspace and the title track "Sharing Space" is on a free cd that comes with this months Blunt magazine. And finaly the video for "What If" can be found here.
In more personal news, I recently got to design a tour poster Mammal which I was totaly stoked about and am currently working on making a site for their street team which will be up very soon. I also came up with the random design of Zeke as the US of A's very own Uncle Sam but giving the finger instead of pointing. That can be viewed here. Also decided that the art page will now have a link on it that leads to my Deviant Art gallery as it is a lot easier to maintain. And last but not least I aqquired a little pamphlet. Its pretty much a bible for political bands written by no other than Ezekiel Ox in his Full Scale days. Interesting read. If anyone wants to check out the scans of it click here to download.
Now I'm sure i've forgotten something but that will do for now.
Finaly got off my lazy ass and created an account on that great site. Art, photograpy and design can now also be veiwed there. Click here to visit.
Heres a few more pics that i took today of the new bloomage on a nectarine tree. Click here to view.
Exerpt taken from the latest mailing list email:
"It's the What If tour, proudly presented by our friends at My Space and it will coincide with the release of our brand new single What If from our forthcoming album Sharing Space. This tour will run for five weeks and we'll be playing up and down the east coast of Australia with a quick stop in Adelaide as well. But for people up north, this will be the first time Cog will be making it to the northern reaches of Queensland to play. So we can't wait to meet all of you from up those parts at the shows."
More info can be found on their new site which is up as a temporary until the new album is released. It can be veiwed here.
Some random pics that I took when I was bored have been uploaded to the Art section of the site. These ones are the few out of the hundred I took that turned out alright. Click here to view.

Rare Records presents
Exclusive & intimate spoken word performances
TWO NIGHTS ONLY!
Friday 17th & Saturday 18th August
The formidable front man of Aussie rock powerhouse Mammal as well as the menacing man that was behind the mic for the groove-metal legends Full Scale, Ezekiel "Zeke" Ox will be on the Rare Records instore stage for two nights in August - however, there will be no band behind him!
For the first time ever, Zeke will be performing spoken word shows, where he will rant (hence the show name) about a veritable cornucopia of subject matter. Who knows what's instore? It's a bit of a mystery, but we're certain it'll include great tales of performing across Australia and the world in his various bands, along with whatever else he feels like rambling on about. This is bound to be one hell of an interesting show - anyone who's met Zeke will know how much of a character the guy is, and can only guess what stories he's got instore.
Full details of the show are still being confirmed, but if you're interested in getting in early for tickets, shoot us an email at enquiries@rarerecords.com.au with your details and we'll be sure to contact you when all the specifics are set. Places will be very limited, the show will definitely be for two nights only, and if they popularity of Zeke's musical outings is anything to go by, tickets for the shows will be snapped up very quick, so be sure to secure yours!
An update on the Colour, Light, Movement, Sound! Doco and Live Full Scale DVD's will be up within the next few weeks. All old info and updates can be found on their myspace here.
Mammal Live Album July 17, 2007
LIVE ALBUM RELEASE SET FOR THE START OF SETEMBER!
Last year, Wally De Backer, an independent Australian artist who goes under the name GOTYE released an album called Like Drawing Blood. The members of Karnivool (along with the rest of Australia) completely fell in love with this album. They were shocked to find out that the love flowed both ways and that their Themata album had rekindled Wally's love for heavier music. A tight bond had formed between these seemingly unlikely musical peers, and subsequently Wally approached Karnivool and asked them to submit a song for his 'Mixed Blood' album, a collection of artists hand picked by Wally, doing their interpretations of Gotye songs.
Mixed Blood is due for release on July 15, and is available on Itunes now!
Also 'The Only Way' cover can now be heard at Karnivools Myspace
The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool and Cog archive links are now active and ready for download, Full Scale should be available soon. If there are any problems with links not working contact me and it will be resolved asap.
Welcome to Altered States. This is just an idea i came up with a few days ago. At first I planned just to bring all rare bootleg audio/visual and other miscellaneous rarities by such artists as Karnivool, Cog, Full Scale and The Butterfly Effect together in the one spot for simple location and download. From there it has developed into much more. This site is still in its early stages and not all links in the navigation bar will be included in the final version. It will be at least a few more days until the rest of the site is up and running but until then feel free to browse around and check it out.
Also a big thanks to Adam (auslive) as a lot of the bootleg has come from him.

ChaosRadio
Alternative / Rock / Progressive
ChaosRadio are a heavy/melodic rock band from the western suburbs. After a few line up changes, they are now a complete 5 piece. Jamming and searching for a year or more, Tyson and Hass came to find the talents of Jason Fullwood (Nu Rein) on vocals and his brother Chebe (Judge Casper/The Gallentry) taking on bass duties. And with the addition of Jason Shiong (Sector7g/Slave) playing guitar, it made this band complete. Jamming consistantly every week this year, they have come to find their own sound.
Now ChaosRadio have put together a bunch of songs and are looking to start showcasing their raw heavy rock style of music around Melbourne this year. Keep a look out for upcoming gigs!
Constantly looking forward, constantly evolving, ChaosRadio are a band to look out for.
